Megan
We are looking for someone to look after our home, 2 labrador's and 1 cat for 2 weeks from the morning of Friday 28th February to late Friday 14th March 2025.
We have a lovely 4 bedroom 2 bathroom one level home in an exclusive beautiful peaceful private location (but not remote at all) with lovely views of the Kaipara Harbour and a forest with tracks. The dogs are allowed in one small penned off area in the house during the day (they do not have free run of the house) and sleep in the garage at night.
We are 4 mins drive from petrol station, liquor and general stores, cafe and 2 historic churches. 12 mins drive from Helensville with Woolworths. 20 mins from Silverdale township and 25 mins from beautiful Orewa Beach with parks, walk/cycle ways, restaurants. 35 mins from Albany/Browns Bay for movies, malls, beaches and restaurants. We are approx 45-60 mins from Auckland City and Auckland Airport.
Megan has a lovely house in a quiet rural area and it was super easy to look after their two dogs and cat. The pets are extremely well behaved and obedient. The communication was excellent and expectations were clear.

Ava and I had a wonderful house sit over Christmas /New year in Kaukapakapa.
Megan and family opened their house to us for a night prior to the house sit so we could meet and greet.
This went very well,
We loved meeting the babies of the family (animals)
Ava gained a new best buddy. James is so good with little children.
We left there very happy that we had gained some friends for life!

A very nice, clean tidy house. Their two dogs are adorable and very friendly. One cat is also very friendly But hardly saw the other very timid one. Megan gave very clear written instructions covering everything. Highly recommend this as a housesit.
Megan and her family are really lovely, Bailey and Charlie (the pups) are great dogs, full of energy and personality but well trained and loving! We had a great time looking after the pups and cats. I would definitely sit for them again.
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
