We are seeking a housesitter/dogsitter for our lovingly restored Arts and Crafts home in Thorndon, right near The Beehive, train station, bus interchange, and several pubs. Formerly an electrical substation, this building was once responsible for powering Wellington's historic trams. It was lovingly restored back to its original glory over the course of several years approximately a decade ago.
Owners Caroline and Tim (and their baby) are looking for a reliable and trustworthy house sitter to look after the place while they are away.
The property has a double garage, several bedrooms, modern kitchen and bathroom, rooftop terrace, patio garden, piano, lounge full of books and board games, an office (with monitors and keyboards for your use if required) and a nursery.
House sitters will be looking after our wonderful old dog Eddie. Eddie is a 12 and a half year old orange labrador-cross. Once described by an Airbnb guest as 'the great silent butler', he makes for great company and absolutely adores people. He loves his morning and evening walks, however he is not a fan of other dogs, so proven experience handing reactive dogs is an absolute must.
We're looking for a respectful and capable sitter who it's looking for an inner city escape, and keen to give an old dog some company.
