We have a comfortable house overlooking the Hutt Valley, surrounded by trees, close to the golf course and Lower Hutt and about 15-20 minutes from Wellington CBD.
We wondered if anyone would like to look after our friendly little dogs while we are away. We would like someone who is prepared to give them a short walk daily. We live close to the river, so river walks are convenient.
We will be leaving in the morning of Wednesday 26 February until the afternoon of Sunday 9th March 2025.
It has been a pleasure to be able to take care of the lovely dogs Peppa and Maggie, we have been delighted with them during these 4 weeks 🤗 Jan and Geoff have been a lovely couple, we have also been able to meet them and communication with them has always been very pleasant and simple. They have a nice and cozy house. In general it has been a very good experience, totally recommended 10/10. Thank you very much !😊
We were made to feel very welcome by Jan and her wee dogs Pippa and Maggie. Both dogs were very easy to look after and loved their daily walks. Jan replied quickly to any communication. Thanks for the opportunity Jan, we enjoyed our sit.
This was a lovely site with two sweet dog fur babies. Jan and Jeff invited me to come a day early to get acquainted with the dogs and their house, which I find is always helpful for both owner and sitter. Communication was clear and detailed. As I had one day after before I needed to fly to the South Island, Jan & Jeff also invited me to stay the extra night, which I very much appreciated. A very nice Lockwood style comfortable home.
We had a very comfortable and happy time in Belmont. Both dogs were good company and enjoyed their daily walks - there are plenty of walking options from the house and in the vicinity, many of which gave great views with native birdsong. We loved the calm atmosphere of the Lockwood home with its two sunny decks - it was a pleasure to spend time in the garden. Gardening was not expected but mowing the lawn was very easy. I looked after Pippa, the most delightful small dog. She had such a lovely energy and we ended up going for coffee and long walks together exploring different parts of Petone and Lower Hutt. The house was war, comfortable a great place to stay and Jan and Geoff were a lovely friendly couple. Definitely happy to do it again.
Beautiful setting made even better by the constant cuddles provided by the fur baby's.
Lovely people to speak to.
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
