St Arnaud

We are looking for someone to care for our chickens and turkeys, and provide basic care for our garden as well as looking after our house while we travel to visit family.

Located on 20 hectares of alpine meadows, the small, one bedroom (with double bed) house has a good kitchen and bathroom and is heated via a wood burner. We are in a great location for outdoor activities, close to the Nelson Lakes National Park, about 5km from Lake Rotoiti, and are about an hour's drive from both Nelson and Blenheim (and Murchison).

The poultry will need feeding twice daily and watering, and their coop needs to be kept clean. In the garden, our greenhouse will need watering. There will be vegetables in the garden that can be used, and sitters would be welcome to weed or do other things in the garden, but it is not required.

It would be a cozy getaway for a single person or a couple, for either the whole term or part thereof.
