Otane

We are a retired couple living in a 5yr old two bedroom home in Otane, a small village 40kms south of Hastings. The village contains a cafe, a dairy and a pub. Waipawa (7km) is the nearest larger service centre offering petrol, pub, cafes, 4 Square, butchery etc. We have an 13 yr old Border Collie (Sofi) and enjoy a large garden of flowers and vegetables. Sofi will require a walk three times a week and feeding once a day. She is people friendly and responds well to instruction. She has a designated mat in the lounge but is otherwise an outside dog. She loves company and attention. Unfortunately she is nervous and somewhat anti social around other dogs, so during off lead walks she will require restraining when other dogs are passing. She also loves to swim in our local Waipawa River. Our pot plants and vege garden may require watering depending on weather conditions at the time. We are on town supply water and also have our own tank with pump for garden use. All garden veges are available for sitters use. Lawns are not required to be mown. We live in a friendly rural village and have friendly neighbours.
