Laingholm Auckland

We are a family of 4 off on holiday from evening 26th March 2025 until the afternoon of the 14th April 2025. Normally we would put our spoilt and loveable Vizsla dog called, Coco in kennels but have decided on using house sitting this time, as recommended by our friends.

We live in a quiet and beautiful area of semi-rural Auckland called Laingholm, which sits on the edge of the Manukau Harbour and is within the Waitakere Ranges with plenty of walks to be had from home or short drives.

Our house is fully fenced, spacious and sits on 3 levels within a half acre block. The living room opens up to the back gardens which are landscaped and colourful, ideal if you want to watch and listen to the birds or read a book.

Master bedroom has an ensuite a very comfortable California King bed and aircon if needed.

We have a large concrete flat driveway, ideal for parking a caravan if you travel with one or throwing a ball for Coco. We have a fast charging EV station in the garage so if you drive an EV this will be perfect. Our EV won't be available to use but our Toyota RAV4 could be after discussion.

The important things to us.....

Coco is 10 years old, loved like a human child and in typical Vizsla fashion, their nickname is the 'Velcro dog' he will either be stuck to your side, sleeping on the sofa / bed or sprawled across your lap! His greetings are a bit energetic if he doesn't know you but is otherwise very sociable with humans. He prefers quiet walks in the bush or at the park at the end of our road and will chase balls if the opportunity arrises. Vizsla's like to be with people as much as possible so please limit time away from the house to a minimum wherever possible. (4-5 hours max)

The garden plants and pots will need a little watering at the end of the day and the lawns cut maybe once a week if you are able to (don't worry if not).
