Dates are flexible. We expect a trade of a total of 10 hours per week for all tasks - including gardening where you reap the fruits of this. You need to be moderately fit to walk up and down our steep terrain. The geese need no care because there are canals and waterways for them in our wetland below the house. You feed them every so often to keep them happy. They are tame and think you will feed them all the time. I recommend feeding them every few days to keep them accustomed to you. If you do gardening, then you can reap the rewards of eating from the garden. There is a glasshouse - this needs watering about once a week and it is just to turn on the tap and turn it off after about an hour. The grounds are extensive so we just ask for a minimum, remove vines from the newly planted trees so they survive, mow the small back lawn whenever it gets higher than your shins - in winter this will only be about once or twice a month, It is very private with some bush on one side and neighbours on the other side. The deck has a view over the wetland and trees. It is a 3 bedroom villa type house and you have your own bedroom with a queen double and a single in it, Plus possible use of another bedroom. So a small family is possible. Plenty of space / desks, etc. We do not smoke but you don't mind if you smoke outside and put your butts into a container. No smoking inside. We have many projects going on around the place and we have systems in place for recycling. The fridge and freezer are emptied out and there are plenty of bench and storage places, expecting that you will need some space for your own things.
Depending on how many of you are applying and/or what we arrange, there might be fee for the gas and electricity you use or we trade this for extra hours of work. The wifi is fibre. The driveway is steep. See photos.
