Manawatū-Whanganui - Tararua
Raenette
The home is a 1930's bungalow, set in the picturesque Pahiatua, and is a short walk from the river. The house is neat, dry and clean, with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The dogs are small, housetrained and clean. Pippy, a Shi Tzu X is 2 yrs old, a bit silly on the leash still and full of fun. She loves cuddles. George is an 11 yrs old Toy Poodle, and quite aloof. He will connect with you on his own terms. They understand all basic commands. They go for walks on leash or have a romp in the backyard. George loves a ball game. Pippy likes to chase George. A large back yard and a covered deck with enclosed courtyard provide privacy and a sunny place to relax. The spacious home has 3 bedrooms, a sewing room and study, a comfortable lounge with dining table and a large kitchen also with a dining table. Weekly cleaning and lawn moving services will continue while we are away. Several potted outdoor and indoor plants will need regular watering.
Pahiatua is a pretty town with a friendly community. The town has everything needed to be comfortable, including a New World supermarket, and several eateries, including a very good Indian restaurant. The famous Tui Brewery is 5 minutes away, and has a lovely pub for leisurely lunches and dinners. For a bit of variety travel to the neighbouring town of Woodville with it's unique antique shops and several cafes to choose from. Palmerston North is 45min away across the beautiful Pahiatua track or alternatively via the Saddle road.
