Kia Ora,
My name is Trout. I am a 17 1/4 years old Jack Russell.
I am walking slow as my back and legs are getting sore but I can cope for one hour a day.
I am getting deaf and my eyes sight is deteriorating. I sleep with a night light on as the darkness of the night makes me spooked when I wake up and can't really see.
I bark a lot more than would a barking Jack Russell. I know, we, JRs bark a lot.
I do circuits around the house and require that the door gets opened for me, many many times a day.
I need to be fed at 5 pmish but I am also on medications for different issues I have. Hidden in my food I am pretty good at taking them. Slowly becoming demented I have some times random reactions and though I can be really friendly , the advice is to ignore me at all times. Clapping hands stops me to bark.
I have a new mate called Denis. But he will introduce himself.
I am still missing my brother Skoota. you might have heard of him, as my Mum and Dad run a campaign 3 years ago , even appearing on One news a 6.00pm.
My Name is Denis Daroux. I am a 100% canine. I was found in a culvert on the way to Dargaville by an amazing gentleman who has the same name as mine who was trying to find Skoota.
I will be 3 YO in May this is the birthdate my parents gave me when I was discovered aged about 6/7 months.
So yes I am a rescue, who was dumped from a car and survived the harsh time being on my own as a puppy.
I am a cool dude , have my own couch. I am a chatter box.
I love people but my trauma makes me worried about young men with long hair. I am very obedient and I am kept under control fery easily. I walk well on leash but prefer running free.
I play a lot and need exercise at least 90 minutes a day preferably in two seperate walks.
So YES our boys are amazing but challenging in their own way.
Do you want to spend a few weeks in the amazing village of Hanmer Springs?
A big forest where you can walk the boys every day for at least an hour for Trout and up to two for Denis, the thermal reserve so enjoyable when it is cold outside, the amazing Clarence valley and much more...
This is what we have to offer plus a brand new house , super comfy , with your own quarters own bathroom heating/cooling system, wood burner, a great courtyard.
The house is walking distance from the village.
We would like to invite you to look after Trout and Denis ,while we are on vacation and this will be around 5 weeks from the beginning of April while we complete the North Island part of the Aotearoa on bikes.
Because of the somehow complexity of the boys life we will only consider experienced dog minders.
We look forward to hearing from you ASAP.
If you applied before and were not successful please do it again this might be the right time.
Trout and Denis (on behalf of Serge and Sharron)
