Kaiwaka

We are looking for a responsible person/couple to look after our much loved animals and house while we are away.
We are approximately 8 minutes from Kaiwaka on 10 acres with stunning views out to the Kaipara Harbour.

The main duties are to look after our animals and home as if they were your own. It would be ideal for someone retired or working from home.

Lacey is a friendly cat, who needs feeding and cuddles.

Our dog, Tahi, would suit someone working from home. He can do 6-7 hours home alone, but is used to having someone home most of the time. He loves to walk and ideally goes out for 30 mins a day and plays with a toy in the morning and evening (ie tug or throwing it for him).
If we can't find the right sitter for him, we may put him into kennels but would prefer to keep him home if we can.

There are 3 well-behaved horses in the paddock. They need checking from a distance to make sure they are okay and turning their water on every 2-3 days to top the trough up. They will need to be moved paddocks 2-3 times, which involves opening a gate and calling them. If we can't find someone comfortable with them, I can organise a friend to move them if needed.

There's a load of house plants that will need watering a couple of times.

We are part of a quiet community on the side of the Kaipara Harbour. It's safe and very peaceful. The house is double-glazed and well-insulated with a fire place and heating. There's a spa pool and beautiful views.

We are a non-smoking, no vaping, no drugs house and property. Wifi available.

As we are in the country, you will need your own vehicle.
We aren't suitable for children.

Our dates aren't 100% confirmed and may change a day or two either side as we need to secure a sitter before we book our trip.
