We live in a modern home with stunning lake views near to Whakaipo bay in Taupo. This is a rural property (2 acres) and a 15 minute drive to town. The closest cafe is 5 minutes and nearest shop/restaurant is 7 minutes drive.

We have three Border Collies that would need caring for. The dogs are Ruby (5) Sam (3) and Lily (2).

They have an outdoor run they can be left in during the day but they are used to two walks a day.or a walk and lots of fetch games. Being Border Collies they are very active, and love attention. Because we live at the top of a steep hill we would want sitters with a good level of fitness to be able to take them for walks.

Although the dogs are allowed inside they are not allowed on the furniture and are well behaved - though they do like to run barking at the neighbours dogs or strangers that might pass by.

Because the dogs are not used to small children we prefer sitters without kids. This is purely as the dogs can be very quick and full on so we would prefer not to put little ones at risk of being hurt.

We also have three sheep, Barbara, Nancy and Romeo. They might like to have some treats fed to them but otherwise should not require any care for the duration of this housesit.

We also have chooks that will need eggs collected and water changed each day.

The house is non smoking. You would have access to the whole house except our own bedroom which we keep locked while we are away.

My husband has a golf green on the property and may arrange for a friend to come and mow this during the house sit. Due to the time of year we wouldn’t expect this to be too many times.
