Looking for a house sitter for around a week over Easter/school holidays. New 4 bedroom warm home on a lifestyle block in Otatara with lovely expansive rural views. Sleeps 8. We have 11 free range chickens (there will be lots of free eggs). One is a little austrolorp bantam rooster, not aggressive.
Pet care will be feeding the chickens and filling their water feeder. Garden care will be watering indoor pot plants.
A short drive to Oreti Beach and Sandy Point (mountain biking). Lots of nice bush walks nearby including Daffodil Bay and Fosbender Park.
We had an amazing time taking care of Trudy's chickens. Communication with Trudy and her husband was very good, they gave us very clear instructions about the house. The chickens are adorable. The house is stunning. The location is really good. We had a great time! Thank you :)
It was a great pleasure to housesit for Trudy & Ben. The inevitable situation with Squid was unfortunate, but we believe a good reason to have someone home to take care of things in their interest.
Besides that, we thoroughly enjoyed the time in the rugged Southland and thank Trudy & Ben for the trust put in us.
Kids had a blast on the trampoline and the daily "Easter Hunt" collecting eggs and visiting the beach daily.
