We are looking for a friend/(s) to come and stay with our pets while we are away on holiday this coming April.
We have a 3 bedroom (plus rumpus) home, with 2 queen sized beds, and a queen sized pull-out couch. Families are welcome, but children must be confident with larger dogs. Our dog does have experience around our younger nephews, but can get over excited when they run around sometimes! Our house does have internal and external stairs - two sets of external stairs (approx 20 stairs in total) with railings to the front door, and (narrow) internal stairs to get to the garage and rumpus room/study.
We have a two cats and a large dog (who thinks he is also a cat) that have full access to the house and fenced yard 24/7.
Our two ginger and white cats are named Bunny (female) and Charlie (male). They are litter mates but not always great friends. Charlie is very independent and can often be seen catching the sun on the neighbours front steps. Bunny is a real homebody and spends most of her time indoors, usually cuddled up with the dog (or giving him a bath). The cats will just need their food topped up once or twice a day, and to make sure their water fountain is full. They do not use a litter box.
Our dog, Bentley (male), is very affectionate and will guilt you into giving him as much attention as humanly possible. He is great with the cats but is not good with other dogs, so we will not expect you to take him for walks - just a run around the yard with his toys is fine! Bentley is fed kibble twice a day in the morning and evening, and has a water bowl that will need to be kept full.
All our fur babies are well behaved, well trained, and very affectionate (although I think every pet owner says that!).
We also have a large fish tank in the living room. The fish will require feeding every 2-3 days, but no tank maintenance is required.
We do have a few house plants which will require watering, but the garden can be left alone.
We do have a bus stop a few houses down from ours, which can easily take to you to more central locations, and we are only a 5 minute drive from the nearest train station. We may be able to arrange a vehicle to be available for drivers over 25 if required.
We look forward to hearing from you.
