We need a house sitter

Hawke's Bay - Napier

We are away from 28th April returning on 20th May after 9pm. We would like someone to look after our home, our cat (Tosh) and possibly our dog (Mac) - I say possibly as he is an old boy who has had a facial cancer which may not be further treatable if it returns. However we do have our names down for a new puppy and would let you know the status quo nearer the time.

Ideally, the person/people come from 27th April so we can go through procedures and then possibly stay the morning after we return.

The house is located on Hospital Hill in Napier in back section off a cul de sac with off street parking, great views and within a 20 minute walk of the city and Ahuriri.

We would just require special care of our animals and generally just to keep the house secure and clean and keep the garden tidy.

All utilities, phone (local calls), wifi and broadband would be free of charge.

Please note, we have another ad for the period 25th August - 24th September. It would be ideal if the same person/people covered both periods.

This was our first pet-sitting job and it exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, the house was beautiful and Tosh the cat was so easy to look after. Communication with Jacquie and Murray was excellent. They provided a list of house instructions; we met them before they left; and they were available anytime when they were away, promptly replying to my messages. Thanks for having us, it was a wonderful stay and we enjoyed exploring the area.

Beautiful home and ideal location close to the Botanical gardens and pathways into the surrounding areas. Mac is an adorable wee fellow and an ideal companion who enjoys getting out for an explore. I didn't see much of Tosh, she came for her meals and disappeared most days. Jacqui left a folder of all the information needed and was on hand via text/phone if needed. I wouldn't hesitate to house sit again and would highly recommend to others.

We found this a very pleasant location with great views from upstairs. Our accommodation was first class. Mac the dog is adorable and Tosh the cat, although rarely seen, are very easy to look after. We were given clear and concise instructions from Jackie regarding all aspects of the house/pet sit. We had a wonderful time at Jacquie and Murray's home, taking care of their dog Mac and cat Tosh. Mac is a very sweet dog, loves his walks and especially a good belly scratch. Just make sure to respect his space, give him affection when he approaches you and you'll be best buddies. Tosh, their cat, is very much self sufficient.
