2 bedroom ground level unit with a set up of a separate comfy guest room for your privacy. It has a desk, heating & fan, towels, linen, blankets and pillows to use. The flat is located in the heart of Old Papatoetoe. Within a short 400 m walking distance it is very close to all amenities, train station, bus stop, pharmacy, supermarket, small shops and a variety of takeaway restaurants. Within 1 km range is a (free entry) leisure pool, Hunters Plaza Shopping Mall and 10 mins away is the large Manukau SupaCenta.
I enjoy living with my pet parrots - they are very desensitised and used to having their human attention.
I have 2 pairs of Barrabands in the outside aviary. They enjoy their treats every other day and they may come and sit on you while you enter the aviary. They're beggars for food when you dine in the backyard (there is a gas BBQ available to use), and otherwise, the Barrabands are a rather quiet and docile species who mainly have their morning and evening calls.
The inside parrots are a family of Bourke parrots who are very quiet, polite and cute little birds. They enjoy their flying time outside of the corner aviary and love cruising around the lounge and dining area. They are obedient and will go back in the cage if asked.
The young cockatiel boy is my own raised hand tame (has stroppy moments!). He would come and sit with you on the sofa watching movies and may fall asleep on you while you give him head scratches.
I'm looking for a single or couple with references, clean police vetting record and experience. You should be confident to look after my indoor and outdoor parrots. If you could water the vege plants that would be great. I appreciate it if you could look after my place as I do. Please: Non-smokers, no drugs, no parties, no alcohol, no crime. It's a quiet and respectful neighborhood. 1 small car can park in front of the garage and ample parking is available on the quiet street.
I uploaded recent photos. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
