Hi there,

Are you looking to have Christmas in Southland?

Myself and my husband George and 1 year old daughter are heading to Canterbury to spend Christmas with our family.
Unfortunately our two gorgeous black Labradors are unable to come on this trip.

We are looking for a sitter who would would enjoying having a Southland Christmas. We live in Winton and have a 10 year old black lab called Bolt and a newer addition Walter who is 3 years old.

We would love for someone to make themselves at home over Christmas and care for our dogs while we are away. They are very easy going just need a bit of a runaround each day and feeding morning and evening. Our house is 4 bedroom, 1 bathroom on a quarter acre section- nice and simple.
You would have flexibility to do day trips into Fiordland, Mavora lakes, Rivertown, Invercargill and other surrounding areas. Winton is a very convenient little town with lovely walking tracks.

I house sat for Alice and George for 12 days over Christmas and New Year. They were very welcoming and always replied promptly to communications. I loved staying in the big house in farming country and their 2 labs were fabulous. Plenty of options for walks and they were obedient so a pleasure to be with. Only a 10 min drive to Otautau which is an excellent base for places to visit in all directions. Highly recommended.
