Hi - house sitter needed for warm, cosy straw bale eco home, a lovely dog, 15-ish sheep (depends on lambs) and 8 chickens.
Our lifestyle block is in the middle of Matakana wine country.
The only requirements are plant watering, light dog walking and feeding and general oversight of the chickens and sheep (sometimes lambs)
The dog is a castrated male black lab - an enthusiastic people lover! The chickens and sheep take care of themselves just need to be checked on daily,
Not suitable for children I'm afraid.

It was our first house and petsitting on a farm and we loved it. Mac is an adorable youngish Labrador who loves to stay near people. The farm and the house are peaceful. We had an excellent long weekend at Jemima's house. Thanks for the opportunity. :)

I really enjoyed house sitting for Jamima and her family. Their house is earthy, eco friendly and easy care with beautiful views and loads of privacy. Mac, their beloved dog, is a handsome black lab with eyes that can talk. He is very smart, affectionate and loves food and belly rubs. I enjoyed our adventures walking on the property everyday. We had a lovely few days sitting Mack. The straw farm house was very comfortable and had a warm feeling. Mack was very loving, well trained and great to be with. The family made us feel welcome and at ease. The countryside is unspoilt. We can highly recommend this sit.
Mac the dog was such a pleasure to look after, intelligent and affectionate, chickens very generous with lots of eggs and sheep well mannered. Jemima, lovely to communicate with and she had a very informative sheet with all the details we needed to keep Mac safe and enjoy ourselves. Lovely warm, cosy and contemporary home with a huge area to roam and enjoy and also the beautiful Matakana area. Thanks for the stay - we loved being with Mac.
It's been a great experience house-sitting for Jemima over Easter. Location is very close to Matakana and beautiful white sand beaches. Mac (dog) is adorable big softie and very well behaved, looking after him was very easy. Highly recommended!
What a wonderful experience! Along with the home being comfortable, warm and spacious it was pleasure to look after the rosters and chickens and sheep where we got to see 7 lambs being born. The children were so excited. And last but not least Mac a lovely friendly Lab who we bonded with and are going to miss. Thank you for the great sit. Loved it.
Great communication from the start. Jemima had sent through a detailed plan of her home and the commands for their pet. We loved looking after Mac he is sooo affectionate and playful. This homestead is warm, inviting & eco friendly. Looking after the indoor plants was a breeze as they moved them into one main area. We enjoyed our time at some of the local beaches and would happily house sit for this whanau again.
We house sat for Jemima for a weekend. We fell in love with Mac from the first moment we got there. He is an affectionate, happy, well behaved, easy to care for dog.
The chickens and sheep are no trouble at all and we got fresh eggs daily.
Jemima emailed us a comprehensive information sheet about the house and pets.
The house itself is very unique and comfortable surrounded by extensive grounds. We enjoyed walking around the property with Mac.

Lovely Earth house, warm and homely. Great location in peaceful countryside. Mac is boysterous but settles down quickly, he's a young short haired Labrador, very loving and fun to play with. Enjoyed my stay very much.
Very nice house in Matakana and the owner did a great job writing all the details in the email she sent before the sit. I am glad we went and met a funny dog. I recommend everything from this user :)
Thank you Jemima for the opportunity to house sit for you. What a beautifully comfortable and spacious house you have and what a lovely dog is Mac. So very friendly and fun to play with in the extensive grounds. We so enjoyed walking the perimeter of your land while Mac, with much encouragements, reluctantly dropped the frisbee so we could throw it and he could retrieve it. Great fun!
