Taita Lower Hutt

We are looking for a house/pet sitter for 5 weeks over Christmas. We have a lovely new build, 3 bedroom home, a 5 mins walk to the local train station (Hutt Valley Line), with off road parking and close to the Hutt river for walks. We are about a 20-30 mins drive to Wellington City, 15 mins to Petone sea front, 45 mins to Martinborough and 30 mins to Kapiti Coast.
You would have use of the large spare bedroom with a queen bed, main bathroom (shower and bath!) and another bedroom which is set up as an office so you can wfh easily.
We have a lovely outdoor space with a small grass section and potted flowers which we only ask to be watered to keep alive in our absence.
Our boy is a golden doodle and will be 11 months old. Being young we would prefer someone who is used to dogs and is patient as he has lots of puppy energy, is still learning and needs entertaining /play time (mostly between 4:30pm and 7:30pm!). He is crate trained for night time, is good on leash, loves cuddles (and ear kisses - sorry, a strange fetish we know!), is fine with being left at home for a couple of hours, happy being in a car, used to being in cafes/pubs etc.
He loves people and cuddles, is good with other dogs as is used to going to doggy day care.
He loves a river dip and beach walks, and we can provide you a list of dog friendly spots if needed. There is a park behind the house for shorter walks too.
We are looking for someone/a couple who will care for our home and fur baby like their own. Please let me know if you’re interested!
