Wainuiomata Wellington

Hi there. I'm looking for a reliable pet sitter in the Wellington region to look after my adult indoor cats and greyhounds.

Good references are essential. No children, unfortunately - one of the cats gets very stressed out around them!

We live in a warm and sunny house, in a quiet residential area. The section is pretty small but has a nice patio at the back. Wainui is a great area for hiking, biking and just enjoying the outdoors at Catchpool Valley and the Coast Road, and Petone beach (and restaurants!) is only a 10 minute drive away. There are bus stops and a Countdown supermarket within walking distance. You'll need to have your own vehicle, though.

We have 2 greyhounds and 2 adult indoor cats. Main responsibilities are feeding them twice a day, regular litter cleaning and walking the dogs. Since the cats are indoors only, you'll have to be mindful when opening doors and windows. Other than that, they're pretty low maintenance. They are all at least partly raw fed so you will have to be comfortable handling raw meat. The dogs need walking a couple of times a day for about 20-30 minutes (but they can also go for a couple hours if that's more your thing!).

The dogs are relatively new to the house and I'm still cat training them. I'm hoping they'll be all good friends by Christmas but there's a chance that you'll have to be comfortable with keeping an eye on them and putting the dogs in their crates if you're not around (they don't mind spending time in the crates though).
