We need a house sitter

Waikato - Thames-Coromandel

We are seeking a housesitter from Thursday, 30 January 2025, until Thursday, 27 February 2025. The sitter(s) should be able to care for our spaniel, exercise him, and be a careful and considerate tenant while enjoying the use of our house.
Our cottage is sited centrally in Thames, a short walk from the main street and the supermarket. Swimming beaches are within a 15 minute drive up the coast. The area is also dotted with cycle and walking trails through the local bush.
Facilities include WiFi, Sky television.
If you are interested in spending a month in the charming Coromandel Peninsula during summer, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Firstly we must thank both Alan and Sue for allowing us to spend our first night with them in advance of the sit with a lovely evening meal provided. Sam the Cocker Spaniel was an extremely affectionate dog who just loved constant attention and rewarded you back double. Sam loved going for a walk at any time of the day pending the weather situation. Alan allowed us to use his ute to take Sam to the walking track which made life a little easier for us. A really wonderful experience from start to finish. Al and Sue are easy to relate to, organised, clear and very welcoming. Their lovely dogs are really just a pleasure to be with, Sam is lively and affectionate and Mitch is docile and easy going. I had a great time on all sorts of walks, such a peaceful home with a wonderful garden and lovely neighbours. I had a lovely stay at Alan and Sue's home looking after Sam and Mitch. They have a lovely home in Thames which was handed over clean with the garden maintained. Sam and Mitch were well behaved, affectionate and a pleasure to look after. Their favourite time of day is their early morning walk. I was given a full set of written instructions and communication throughout the sit was very good. I would highly recommend Alan and Sue and would be more than happy to house sit for them again.
