Wanaka Queenstown Lakes

We have a lovely cottage hugged by mountains, 5 minutes walk to the incredible lake in central Wanaka. It's a beautiful, quiet area, a 20-30 minutes walk or 15 minute minute easy cycle into the center of town. We have a cosy fireplace for colder evenings and very cute garden to sunbathe in on those glorious sunshine days. We have so many amazing hikes, cycle trails and beauty on our doorstep for those who love to get out and explore.

We are looking for a wonderful person or couple to take care of our beloved rescue dog Moss, she is an almost 3 collie cross/heading dog. She is ridiculously soppy, slightly goofy and very loving. We have done and continue to do a lot of training with her, making sure she is calm, doesn't pull on the lead when out of walks and is obedient to our commands. She is a very good girl!

We do 2 x 30 minute walks a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. We ensure these walks are low stimulation and focused on her training. We choose to avoid the lake front and areas with lots of dogs as this can be very stimulating for her. We have lovely back roads to walk in nature where she loves a calm sniff and plod around the local area which keeps her very happy. During the day she loves to laze around, sunbathe and snooze on her favourite sofa. She loves a daily game of tug of war, or play session but doesn't have much stamina and tends to sleep some more! She loves lots of cuddles and everyone who meets her instantly falls in love.

We would like people that would really respect our home, keep it tidy, mow the lawn when it's long (it's very small and takes 10 minutes) and give Mossy as much love as we do. Whoever comes to stay in this little slice of mountain paradise will have an incredible time, there is so much to see and do and Moss really is such a joy to be around.
