We need a house sitter

Otago - Central Otago

BRONWYN

We are hoping to head off overseas for about 8- 10weeks and the folk who have looked after our place previously are unable to this time. At this stage however our dates are still fairly flexible. A pet is negotiable. if you have a motorhome or caravan there is plenty of space to park it.

We live rurally in the beautiful Central Otago . We have a Border Collie who is allowed inside. I also have 2 horses who just would need checking for water and maybe covers if the weather is horrible. It is very easy if you are not intimidated with largish animals. The house is ''off grid'' but well set-up. It is fairly new and of easy care materials and minimal grounds maintenance is needed. We are some distance from the nearest town and there is a feeling of remoteness, despite there being an iconic historic Pub just 1k away which is very popular with travellers. You will need your own car but the roads are good with only a short distance of metal road which is fully serviced and in excellent order. There is TV reception, cell phone and broadband internet access. Perhaps it would suit somebody who works remotely, somebody who just wants to appreciate space and natural quite, take some wonderful photos or bring your bike and do some portions of the rail trail. PS we don't live in a houseboat as the map would indicate, just this nearby on land. We need someone to keep the fire burning in the cold and able to tend for the animals

First time doing a off grid house. It was a good house sit and I learnt about off grid living. They have a great dog and easy manage cow's. Bronwyn and Peter gave good clear instructions and left notes that were easy to understand.
