We are looking for someone reliable and experienced with dogs to take care of our home and wee family while we take a short break. 1st March to 13th March 2025 inclusive. We live adjacent to beautiful lake Rotoma. Our section is fully fenced and our 2 dogs have no vices, and plenty of space to exercise and play but enjoy regular walks on the beach or swimming in the lake just 50 meters away.
Rotoma is about 35 minutes from Rotorua or Whakatane and 10 minutes to Kawerau for supplies.
There are lots of walks, bike trails etc. close by, 2 golf courses within 10 minutes, and hot springs in Kawerau. Rotoma is open all year round for fishing and cruising trout easily spotted from our patio deck. A wonderful place to chill out, listen to the moreporks at night and enjoy the tranquility and ambience of Paradise.

Jenny and Alf are a wonderful, friendly couple who made us very welcome in their home. Alf's store of stories kept us well entertained.
There are fabulous views over Lake Rotoma just a few steps away.
The two dogs, Tassle and Floss were a delight. Extremely well trained, they loved their walks on the beach beside the lake. The two cockatiels were easy care as were the doves and sparrows!
Rotorua is approximately 40 kms away, as is Whakatane in the other direction.

Alf and Jenny are amazing and so friendly, they welcomed us into their beautiful home with open arms.
Alf has a passion and great knowledge for local wildlife, native birds and fishing, his enthusiasm is infectious and a breath of fresh air.
Location is stunning with uninterrupted views of lake Rotoma with easy access to Rotorua and the surrounding area.
