We are leaving our 1.3 hectare lifestyle property in the heart of the wine country outside of Blenheim for two months and are looking for someone to spend time with our 7 year old Border Collie/Poodle cross dog and chickens. Guests stay in our warm and comfortable home on the property. The property is a beautiful garden estate, featuring expansive lawns, rose gardens and mature trees... Relax and enjoy a tranquil break on our property with Aspen, who loves walks along the neighbouring river and just hanging out... Ideally suited to a couple or single person, able to undertake some garden maintenance (including raking of leaves and ride-on lawn mowing). (Note: The dates indicated allow for a day prior to our departure to provide instruction on the tasks involved, with accommodation provided in a separate guest apartment for that night.)
Lots to like about this house sit. Comfortable and warm home. Great walks, cycling, also plenty of vineyards and and local attractions to visit. The gounds are amazing. We loved looking after Aspen, the free range chooks and eggs! Enjoyed our stay.
Andrew and Wendy were wonderful hosts. They welcomed us the evening before and gave us a thorough brief on all aspects of the sit. Communication leading up to and during the sit was easy and prompt. The property itself is in a nice area near Blenheim with good cycling, walks and plenty of vineyards to visit nearby. I had a wonderful time with Aspen on this house sit! She is such an affectionate and happy dog. We enjoyed our walks along the river and around the property. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything I could want. Definitely recommend sitting for Aspen and her lovely family!
We had an amazing time away at Andrew's house. We love everything and especially Aspen the dog. Our girls were crying when we left the house all the way to Picton catching the ferry because they missed Aspen so much. We had fun feeding the chickens, dove and Aspen. We will definitely stay again next time. Once again thanks heaps Andrew for letting us look after your property.
We really enjoyed housesitting on this beautiful lifestyle block. The owners were friendly and it was very easy to arrange the housesit details. Aspen, their big, bouncy dog, was good fun and good natured. Our separate upstairs accommodation was comfortable with good facilities.
