Valerie and Peter
We live in Matamata, Waikato (about half way between Tauranga and Hamilton).
Roughly about a 5 - 10 minute walk to town, our Hobbit is our info center with heaps of things to do.
Lots of restaurants and take aways as well as lovely cafes.
We looking for a friendly couple or single person who would like to look after our two little dogs for 4 days.
We have a Reunion to go to in Taranaki and would like to leave from our Home on the 15th April by about 9.30am at the latest and arrive back home in the afternoon, not sure what time, of the 18th August.
We have a Fox Terrier named Zeke, who is blind and a Jack Russell named Toffee, she is a bit timid and barks but fine when she gets to know people.
They both love walks but we have only be taking them as far as the corner or just to our letterbox, then lots of company & cuddles.
Zeke will be 15 in June this year and Toffee will be 14 in June as well.
We have a spare bedroom and private bathroom, there is two patio's outside, front and back, with outside table and chairs,
Grounds are all fully fenced and there is room here for a small camper van as well.

Val and Peter's house is located at the very center of Matamata, in a very safe area. Their dogs are adorable and very easy to take care of -- they sleep a lot and are really sweet :)
Val and Peter were so nice to us, and gave us lots of food and gifts! We felt very welcome in their house and we would definitely do this sit again.

This was my first official house sit and I couldn't have wished for a better experience! Valerie and Peter made me so welcome, and soon after they left, I was curled up on the couch with Toffee and Zeke. Although getting on in years, they loved their short walks up the road to the Memorial trees, and were absolute sweeties, happy to share my bed at night. Valérie and Peter are the most kind and friendly people.
We felt very at ease in their company.
They also very generous.
They offered us a beautiful basket with chocolate, biscuits, wine, home made chutney, honey and lemonade.
Their dogs Zeke and Toffee are very gentle and not demanding.
The instructions were very clear so, when they left we felt confident caring for Zeke and Toffee.
If they advertise for house sitters don't hesitate to apply.

I had the pleasure of housesitting for Valerie and Peter and looking after their two gorgeous dogs Zeke and Toffee.
My stay in their home was great. There was a thorough welcome to our home pack listing everything I needed to know. The communication was excellent.
Valerie and Peter made me feel welcome. It was like home away from home.
It is my first time to visit Matamata. Val's place is very close town and convenient for necessary. Val treats us very well , like a family. Zeke and Toffee are well trained dogs, they are very easy to get along well. Zeke loves food and walking and Toffee loves playing well herself. They are very clever and lovely, we love them so much!
These two couldn't have made my sit any easier or more pleasant. Supremely comfortable home with an HRV system which kept comfortable indoor temperatures, going into the colder months. Pre-made plates in the fridge (Just a 3 night sit) for the two dogs, who were perfectly behaved. Kept up good communication leading up to the sit date, and I felt welcome and appreciated the whole time. Rest assured Pete and Val come highly recommended.
Val & Peter were oh so organised, they made my house sit experience in Matamata a pleasant and memorable one. The property was very clean and tidy. The two little dogs were a treat to look after. It only took a day or two and I had two best friends following me around like little shadows. So much so, that it was rather sad to say goodbye to Zeke & Toffee.
I'd be more than happy to return to house sit for Val & Peter. Thank you
