We are Tony and Hilde .
We are going on a long overdue overseas family visit to Europe.
We have had many house sitters looking after our place and have made some lovely friends through this.
Our 5 ha lifestyle block farm is situated in Te Awamutu (Waikato) area.
Te Awamutu is a very nice little town with all amenities you should need.
Our farm is facing Mount Pirongia and has a beautiful tranquil view.
Lots of kind neighbours down our road who will pop in to say hello and help if needed.
Our accomodation for you is our 100m2 cottage which is situated on the farm .Two bedrooms,bathroom,toilet,kitchen/lounge area.
Heatpump.
You are welcome to bring your own accomodation (campervan/caravan) and this can be connected to water and electricity ( no pets)
Ideally we like a couple who has experience with farm animals and dogs and enjoy pony care.
We like you to be here ( so not going to work elsewhere )
We want to make sure everyone is happy and attended to and our place is being looked after.
On our farm we have:
- 25 sheep
- 10 beef cows

- 5 kind ponies ( welsh ponies)
- 2 kune kune pet pigs
- 4 kind Dogs --Border Collie Roy (4 )labrador Patsy (6)and Petdogs -2 Jack Russels terriers Roxy (13) and Cindy (1
Our terrier girls live with us at our house. Two larger dogs live in kennels at night.wehave kennels to accomodate all dogs if you go out somewhere?
The dogs enjoy going for walks and coming with you on the farm.
We would like to meet you and introduce to our animals
and show you the accomodation and routine to the care of the animals on the farm etc.
We can also talk about remuneration for the care work.

Enjoyed our two week stay. Owners very pleasant and left good instructions. House warm and comfortable. Animals very friendly and easy to care for. Would highly reccomend this house sit.
Tony and Hilde were great host made us feel very welcome and we met them before the house sit and was also made very welcome then. The animals were great to look after and the three dogs were well behaved and loved attention. The instructions left to look after the animals were very clear and they were very patient when showing us how to feed the animals. We would definitely look after them again in the future and would recommend to other Housesitters.
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
