We live on a lifestyle block overlooking beautiful Blueskin Bay and the stunning Silverpeaks. We have two cats, two horses, a couple of alpacas and some sheep. One of my horses requires special feeding management, i.e. twice daily feeding of pre-prepared feed that you will need to make up each morning and night. He has been through a really bad case of laminitis and is no longer allowed grass. You will need to be confident enough with horses that you are comfortable being in his paddock with him while putting out the feed. Previous experience with horses and how to handle them is preferred.
Our cats are pretty easy care with twice daily feeding, although occasionally you may need to deal with the results of their latest hunting expedition!!

Our 7 day sit required taking care of 2 cats and 2 Horses. Monica had an excellent binder for us to follow. There were instructions for the animal care as well as information on the operation of their beautiful, well appointed home, With radiant floor heat and opening north facing windows we were never cold or too hot in their spacious home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time looking after Monica and Charles two horses, two cats, the other farm animals and their lovely property.
While being in a quiet tranquil country setting, it was only a few minutes drive down to Waitati's cafés and shops.
The farm infrastructure made it very easy to manage the horses and the other farm animals.
We had excellent communications throughout and were provided clear and detailed written information on what was required.
