Hi there, we live on a lovely lifestyle block in Te Horo (1 hour north of Wellington) with a gorgeous menagerie of furbabies. We're looking for an animal lover who wants to spend a relaxing weekend in the country.
We have 2 young dogs: a golden retriever - Tully (3 yrs) and a huntaway cross - Remy (2 yrs). They love nothing more than a walk at the river or beach. They are both super friendly and snuggly. Remy is very active and does have some anxiety issues. She needs to be managed and not allowed free reign otherwise she gets noisy (barking) and destructive (chews furniture). They can be left at home if you go out but need barking collars on and stay outside. As long as they get a nice long walk each day they are super happy to just hang and be with people.
We have 2 cats, a Bengal called Rafiki and a shy cat called Tiny Ted.
We also have 2 pet Kune Kunes (Willow and Wilbur), 2 donkeys (Cocoa and Pedro) and a mini horse (Duffy) with attitude.
Our house is super awesome and comfortable, you'll have the spare room made up for you and can make use of the spa.
If you have experience with all types of animals and will adore them as we do, I'd love to hear from you!
What a wonderful weekend we had interacting with all of the furry friends at Nikki’s house.
Wandering around the paddocks and gardens tending to the animals. Walking the dogs at the river. A very relaxing time.
Excellent communication with Nikki and very comfortable house.

I had an absolutely brilliant time at Nikki's, looking after all her wonderful animals (dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, donkeys and a miniature horse).
The house is incredibly peaceful and beautiful, and Nikki left helpful instructions and was always quick to respond to any messages.
I was sad to leave and would definitely recommend this housesit.
Our house-sitting at Nikki's place was truly amazing. Nikki welcomed us warmly, and the communication was easy and clear. The house is beautiful and located in a tranquil area. All the furry friends are lovely and easy to care for. We thoroughly enjoyed our daily routine with them.
