We need a house sitter

Northland - Kaipara

We need someone to look after our 2 cats, 1 dog, 8 or so Chickens and keep an eye on our 25 Cows (we'll set it up for minimum moving/feeding out) while we are away in the school holidays.

We're located 7 mins from Kaiwaka, 10 mins from Maungaturoto, and 20 mins from Magical Mangawhai. There is lots to do in the area.

Our house is modern and low maintenance in a quiet rural location. You will have access to the Wifi, There is plenty of firewood for the woodburner which will keep the house toasty warm on a cold evening, and as many eggs as you can eat....

The animals are used to someone being around mostly during the week, the Dog likes to hang out with people and will burn off his energy himself, although he does love a walk or run. The cats often bring presents that need disposal so you'll need to be happy to deal with them.

We also have a nursery and greenhouse with plants which will need some watering and standing up depending on the weather.

I write this on our last day at Kirstin and Don's property at Kaiwaka. We have had an enjoyable 2 weeks here looking after pets along with pigs and cattle. Like so many parts of the north island the wet weather was somewhat frustrating but oh well so be it. Wonderful instruction booklet and also going over everything from them (as well as Sophia) before they departed.
