Also there will be a reasonable amount of watering duties (especially pots to be watered)

We live in a very attractive foothills area. The nearest town is
Darfield with several cafes and supermarket, garage etc is 10 minutes away, and Christchurch about an hour, the International airport less.
We have a 2 bedroom house with a fully self contained 2 bedroom apartment attached, which we use for B&B. There may be guests there and we are happy to pay for you to look after them and service the rooms where required.

We had the absolute pleasure of pet/house-sitting for Tim and Gillie for over a month, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! Their home is such a peaceful and beautiful place, with a lovely garden that made our time there even more enjoyable. We had a lovely 3 weeks in Darfield looking after house & pets. Waffles is adorable with a friendly temperament, happy with cuddles, walks, chasing a tennis ball (a full-time job). We became very fond of her, Aziz the cat is independent and will ask when he requires attention, a warm lap & food. Tim & Gillie are a lovely couple, provided good instructions on looking after the house, pool, garden. Gillie and Tim are absolutely sensational and good-humoured. We loved getting to know them and found them to be fabulously easy-going and genuine. Their two fur-babies, Waffles and Aziz, were a delight to look after too. Both extremely good natured, full of character and very affectionate. Expect many cuddles and a regular lap-cat. We felt very lucky to spend time in Tim and Gillie's beautiful home. Lovely house, garden and grounds in a quiet rural setting. Waffles is an excitable dog but good fun to look after, and Aziz the cat is very low maintenance, as long as he has food! We also enjoyed the opportunity to host guests and look after the B&B section of the property. We received a warm welcome from Tim & Gillie and communication was great throughout. Many thanks!

Chris and Sam were amongst the best house sitters we've had. They looked after the pets, house and garden very well, even managing the pool and keeping up with the watering too. We would love to have them back anytime.
It was such a pleasure to house sit for Tim and Gillie in their beautiful home, in the cuddly company of Aziz, the little black panther. Communication went smoothly and Tim and Gillie gave me a warm welcome. Aziz is easy to care for and a total sweetheart - playful, affectionate and always (always!) hungry. Lots of nice walks in the surrounding area. Thanks Tim, Gillie and Aziz, hope to come back some time!

We were so lucky to get this sit for Tim and a Gillie. A lovely couple, great house and Waffles the dog and Cyclops the cat were brilliant. We had lots of fun looking after Waffles, she will grow up to be a beautiful dog. She is very intuitive and so easy to look after .Cyclops kept himself occupied except when hungry or tired. Tim and Gillie are a lovely and very friendly couple with a sweet little puppie and a cuddlesome cat. The house is very comfy so that you feel like home. The garden and the pool are so good to spend time outside with the little puppie! We would definitely recommend sitting that house!! Definetley 5/5 Stars ⭐️ !!

Tim's and Gillie's house has very nice and artsy vibes. We felt very fast like at home, and it was pleasure to help them to manage their small B&B. Their cat Cyclops kept us company, he is hilarious and big story teller probably the biggest we've ever met :) We miss him. We enjoyed every minute and we can only recommend house-sitting for these lovely people and small black monster:)
