New Brighton

We are looking for someone to take care of our fur-family when we travel overseas. We have a big dog (Ludo) and cat (Rascal). They're both pretty easy and very loveable!

Ludo is a gentle giant; he is a Great Dane, German Shepherd cross. He likes meeting new people and other animals but sometimes gets scared at the weirdest things. Ludo eats raw food blocks straight from the freezer, as he has a sensitive stomach, with some veges thrown in for good measure (which will be prepared before we leave). Ludo is getting on in years so doesn't really need walking and when you do, it's mostly for sniffing; he's reasonably good on the lead but is large so you'd need to be confident with big dogs. He will bark if others approach the house but otherwise he's pretty lazy and very chill.

Rascal (black and white) is basically a grumpy old man but likes a sneaky cuddle every now and again (on his terms though or expect to be bitten). His food is very easy - he mostly eat biscuits but gets some tuna in the morning and the occasional splash of milk at night. There is a cat flap and he comes and goes as he pleases.

You'd obviously have the house to yourself and it's a great wee spot in New Brighton. We have a nice garden and patio area to hang out in and we're close to most of the local amenities. It's usually pretty quiet and we're located on a great bus route, plus heaps of off street parking.

We'll be travelling in NZ so easy to message/access if things go awry. Given the short period of this trip, there won't be any house tasks either, so just make yourself at home! If needed, we have a spare bed you could come settle in a day or two beforehand but we'll be rturning with guests so can't extend on the otherside. If you're local, you'd be welcome to visit beforehand.
