VACATION ON THE KAIPARA at THE WATERS EDGE - 3 Weeks

Once again I need a reliable and trustworthy person(s) who is (are) dog and animal lovers to take care of my 3yr old dog while I am overseas for 3 weeks in May..

The location is on the Pahi peninsula on a small quiet lifestyle block which runs down to a tidal estuary. It's about 4kms to the Paparoa Village and 3 kms to Pahi Wharf/Camping ground. Towns : Dargaville, Mangawhai and Warkworth are about 45 mins to 1hr away by car but there is closer shopping in Maungaturoto - 15mins away.Whangarei is just under an hour by car.

This is an idyllic spot for a quiet vacation by the waters edge where you can enjoy nature and bird life etc.

Charlie the primary customer is energetic, normally obedient,
loves people, not aggressive but very boisterous and full of energy. He sleeps inside, downstairs by the wood burner but most of the daytime outside. Charlie has been neutered and is a calmer now and not prone to wander.

The property has easy access, room for a camper van if relevant and relaxing It goes down to the water/estuary and has a small sleep out near the waters edge.

I also have a small flock of sheep which should not lamb before I return and now low maintenance. I run the. sheep over 3 paddocks including my nearest Neigbours , so help is closely if needed. The main task is checking they have sufficient water.

Charlie should not be allowed to roam freely by himself in the paddocks with the lambs and ewes - too much fun! But he can be taken on paddock walks on a long lead. However he can roam around the house off lead, he doesn't need to be tied up.

There is good Internet and mobile reception, a woodturner for cosy evenings, plenty of cut firewood.

Please contact me if interested, a person or older couple with a farming background would be excellent but not essential as the dog is the main priority.

I would like the confirmed sitter to come the night before and. not leave until I return.
