We’re looking for a responsible and dog-loving person to care for our 3-year-old Boxer, Fred, while we’re away for two nights. Our home is on-site at a school on the western bay of Lake Taupō, nestled in the beautiful Pureora Forest. Sitters are welcome to enjoy the spa and explore the surrounding native bush and rivers.

Fred is a lovable goofball—full of energy one moment and completely relaxed the next. He adores walks to the river, adventures through the forest, and curling up as close as possible to you on the sofa. He doesn’t have much experience around other dogs and gets very excited, so he needs someone who can handle him with confidence. If you plan to bring your own pet, please note that he doesn’t get along with cats and needs a dog that can set firm boundaries—he still thinks he’s the size of a lap dog!

Mostly, Fred just wants company. If you’d enjoy a short getaway in a peaceful setting with a playful, affectionate companion, we’d love to hear from you!
