Jillian and Ray were very welcoming and showed me what to do before I went there. Detailed instructions and phone in everyday to check on animals. Enjoyed eating fresh produce from garden. Location handy to Tyburn and Taupo. It was fun having Jade accompany me around the garden and saying hello to an emu everyday. Hope emu didn't destroy too much of vege garden!

SONJA (Jan 2022 - 1 week)
We stayed at Jillian and Ray's place for several weeks, and I must say it was a great experience. Their place was large and although we did not have the responsibility of caring for all of their farm animals, it did allow us to spend time with them, observe them and ultimately connect with their peaceful lifestyle. We also spent time with Jillian and Ray and took the time to share with them, get to know each other and learn from them. We hope to see you again soon.

GONZALO (Sep 2023 - 3 weeks)
Loved our stay at Ray and Jillian's house. Looking after Jillian's cat Jade who loved our attention, fresh veg from the garden hens provide eggs each day. Wonderful hosts on their return Thank you for the experience of Atiamuri

DAVE &GLENDA (Jan 2021 - 2 weeks 2 days)
You will not find more hospitable and generous hosts than Jillian and Ray. Ray helped level our RV and hooked us up with power, then we shared a welcome dinner together. Jillian kindly let us use her car for local sightseeing and supermarket runs. Lovely warm home, double glazed, plenty of firewood and a comfy warm bed. Cats Fudge and Jade were a dream to look after, very different personalities but not too needy. The chickens were no bother at all and baby lambs kept us entertained with their ... MORE

JANE (Oct 2020 - 1 week 3 days)
We had a lovely time housesitting for Jade the little black cat, Ray and Jillian made us feel very welcome and have a beautiful home. A perfect rural escape from the big city (we especially enjoyed using the bbq!) We had never looked after chickens before, and Jillian kindly walked us through everything we needed to know. We also enjoyed eating fresh tomatoes from their gardens! The house is in a great location for day trips to Rotorua and Taupo and you couldn't ask for nicer people to sit for!

ALLEN (Oct 2019 - 1 week 1 day)
Jillian and Ray were wonderful hosts first night they cooked us a wonderful meal which was delicious before they left the next day. Warmth was no problem as there was plenty of firewood. The bed we slept in also was comfy. There cats Fudge and Jade were a delight to care for plus chickens and baby lambs. Lovely comfortable spot to housesit. Would be more than happy to housesit again.
